The Peter-Paul Bible College and Seminary has graduated 41 students as it celebrated it’s 5th Convocation Ceremony.
The graduating students consist of 25 graduates from the class of 2017 and 16 graduates from the class of 2018.
The college and seminary is an academic arm of Christ Gospel Apostolic Church (CGAC).
Giantability News reports that the ceremony which took place on Saturday at Isolo, Lagos, was for the awards of Diploma in Theology and Ministry, decoration of Chaplains and awards of Fellowships.
The keynote speaker at the event, Professor Christopher Oshun, speaking on the topic, “Reconnecting With Our Apostolic Heritage and Foundation for Global Impact”, dewelt on the history of the faith while urging them to replicate what they have learnt for the past two, three years in the college.
According to him, “I want us to begin to see Pastors and holiness as catalysts for change. I reckon when Pastors embrace holiness, live in holiness, get involved in holiness preaching and holiness teaching, the entire church is set for a new lease of life.
“In so doing, they will create or promote a conducive environment for meaningful and sustainable spiritual change and for quality human life driven by holiness.
“There is a Chinese proverb that says if the head of a fish is rotten, the entire body gets rotten.” His address read.
Oshun called on the graduands to be discipline and globally impactful.
A graduand, Abel Adewole, speaking on behalf of the class of 2018 said they were grateful to God for the grace to finish.
He said, “About 40 of us started the session but just about 16 of us were able to complete the program. It wasn’t because of death or sickness but due to some difficulty or the other, some couldn’t finish with us.
“Some of us, even myself, I almost dropped out but thank God for my lecturers, who are alway mounting pressure on us.
“I pray that this church continues to match forward and bring glory in Jesus name.” Adewole concluded.
Speaking with another graduand, David Famuyide, he said, “I am very happy. It is a two year course so it is not easy. I thank God that I was able to finish it and today, I am having a double honor and I will be decorated as a chaplain.”
When asked what the public should expect from him hence forth, Famuyide said, “I am part of the leaders in this church, Holy Ghost Area C, so defintely I need to put in more effort in the house of the Lord.”
“I need to proclaim the name of the Lord and tell others too to come to the school. Knowledge is power. Though you may be a Christian but when you go deep, then you know the word of God.” He added.
The best graduating students were awarded, Joseph Adeyemo from the class of 2017 and Abel Adewole from 2018.
