The management of Ajayi Crowther University has announced the closure of its gates to its students who have failed to resume from the Christmas break.

ACU Entrance Gate

This was contained in a statement released on the institution’s website on Wednesday as they look to continue their quest to instill discipline.

The statement revealed that resumption had been extended on two occasions after the initial date of January 9, 2019, and that any student who fails to resume school by the last approved date will not take part in the forthcoming examination but may return next semester.

The statement reads: “Management has directed that the gate of the University be closed to undergraduate students who have not resumed from the Christmas break.

“Resumption date was on the 9th of January, 2019 but the University Student Affairs Unit cleared students for resumption up till Sunday 13th, January 2019. Further extension was allowed till Tuesday 15th January, 2019.

“Serious minded students will have resumed according to University instruction. The gates are now shut to those still in their homes. They are advised not to come to the University as they will not be allowed into the campus. They will forfeit the forthcoming examination. They may be welcomed back at the beginning of the next semester.
