The School of Discipleship and Leadership Studies of the Christ Apostolic Church, Ebute-Metta DCC has held its convocation and award ceremonies graduating 65 students.
The ground breaking event held recently, took place at the district headquarters, Mount of Ease, Ebute-Metta, Lagos which will be the first of its kind in the district.
The ceremony witnessed the graduation of 40 students from the Diploma class, 4 from the Adult Education class and 21 students from the Certificate class.
Among students presented with awards include Odunaiya Feyisayo, Omotade Mary, Ogunloye Kehinde, amongst others while Shodipe Opeoluwa from the Diploma Class was awarded the Best Graduating Student.
Giving his keynote address, the coordinator of the school, Pastor Gbenga Adelusi while congratulating the graduating students for the feat, charged them not to relent in equipping themselves the more and not allow the lessons they have learnt become wasted.
Adelusi said: “You are encouraged to continue to develop yourself, attend Seminars and Workshops. You are not expected to be reservoirs of knowledge, but channels of blessings to the body of Christ and proclaimers of the good news to this dying and sinking world.”
Notable among dignitaries who graced the occasion was Pastor (Dr.) Ademola Wemimo Odunaiya, the Chancellor of Joseph Ayo Bablola University (JABU).
