Former-interim Head of State, Yakubu Gowon has urged Nigerians to take cue from the exemplary life of dedication, value and service lived by late Evangelist Helen Okoye.
Gowon gave his charge on Sunday at the services of songs for the deceased at the All Christian Fellowship Mission (ACFM), Maitama, Abuja.
He stated that the late evangelist demonstrated great faith, praying for the repose of her soul while stressing the need to pray for the country.
Former Governor of Anambra, Peter Obi, said “whenever we find ourselves in power, we should use all the resources that God has given us to serve humanity.
“We have no other country, only Nigeria and we must have unity and peace.” he said.
Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, called Nigerians to make their lives count, “There is a life after life and what you do in the life after life is determined by how you live the life here. We must live an exemplary life, a life free of sin.” He said.
The Vice-president, Yemi Osinbajo, represented by the Chaplain of the Chaplain of the Aso Villa Chapel, Pastor Seyi Malomo.
The late Helen was the wife of a former Chaplain of Aso Villa Chapel, Reverend William Okoye.
