The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a 30-year old man, Edet William, for allegedly breaking in and stealing properties of the Glory Cloud Parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) at Ilasamaja area of Lagos penultimate, Lagos State.

According to daily trust, the police narrated to journalist that William and his accomplices on Wednesday broke the padlocks of the Pentecostal church, went into the auditorium and carted away musical equipment worth N400, 000.

The incident was first noticed by members of the church who went for service the next morning and after proper stock, it was discovered that some musical equipment were stolen.

The prosecutor, Superintendent Rita Momah recounted that the matter was reported to authorities who commenced investigation and later arrested William.

Momah requested a date for hearing from the court to enable the police investigate and prove the case.

The magistrate, O. A. Adegbite, has granted the accused bail of N100,000, with two sureties of like sum.

William, who is charged with robbery and force entry, has pleaded not guilty to the charges.

He is detained at the Ilasamaja police station, pending when he will settle his bail conditions.

The case has been adjourned to June 3, 2019.
