Common knowledge is the understanding of where we are, and no one builds a reputation on what he or she intends to do. There is always a place to take off, whether we are to walk, run, or fly, to our destinations.
“Dreams. If you don’t daydream and kind of plan things out in your imagination, you’ll never get there, so you have to start some place.”—Robert Duvall.
What the above signifies is that we are always met somewhere by the break of the day. We don’t meet the day before it meets us, and that is why it is important that if you want your dream fulfilled, you have to be awake, for nothing comes to sleepers except dreams.
We often get distracted by desiring what we don’t deserve whereas it is better to deserve before we desire. It may interest you to note that many people left behind them, in the year 2021, treasures and ideas that never saw the light of day, not because they lacked the potency to transform but because they lacked what it takes to turn them around. To now begin to see the new year as completely the beginning of a journey to an unknown destination is to mistake reality for idealism.
Shadow is not substance, substance is not success, success is not significance, and significance is not salvation. These are interconnected and one ushers us into the other, and jumping the gun is trying to cut the road short, and that is dangerous, for shortcuts cut short.
What you see matters, for it is a determiner of what you get. He who sees the shadow, even though that is not the substance, has seen better than he who sees a mirage, and he is more close to reality.
Change applies to things as well as humans, but discovery has it that things change through or as a result of the application of a trigger or a force, but as far as humans are concerned, they in themselves are designed as the agents of change. Therefore, when things go wrong, we should not go with them.
The year 2022 is of the same family with the other years that we have spent since we were born and is not different from the others in any remarkable ways except that it presents to us new opportunities to dream anew and to experience newness that can only be engineered by the new you. Don’t underestimate or lose sight of the benefits that are available where you are for until your attitude changes where you are, your altitude may not change.
A wise man once said, “Fulfillment. If I can get the ear of every young man but for one word it would be this: make the most and best of yourself. There is no tragedy like a wasted life. A life failing of its true end and turned to a false end.”
One important advice that is in line and agreement with the above quote is that one should make the most of where he is at the moment, what he has at hand in the immediate, and get motivated about what lies ahead. Motivation is a spark that lights the fire of knowledge. You may know where you want to go but knowing is not as important as doing, and doing is not just a function of the willingness to get somewhere, but the willingness to prepare for what it takes in terms of 100%f focus,, perseverance, and courage to make it to the end. There is the true end as well as the false end.
There is always a future but not without a picture, and your picture is what determines your future. While your picture is in the now, the future is in a distance, and in the school of economics, there is hardly a notable difference between the short run and the long run periods of production. They are interconnected, and one takes you to the other.
On a final note, something has to be done differently to get a different result. The year 2022 holds for you a key and until the key is engaged, no matter how close or far the door is, entry becomes a Herculean task an effort in futility. It is good that we are here, but there is nothing bad in giving up “the good” to get “the great.”
Great is His faithfulness.
“Nobody should negotiate their dreams. Dreams must be free to fly and fly high. No government, no legislature, has the right to limit your dreams. You should never agree to surrender your dreams.”—Rev. Jesse Jackson, Commencement Address.
Your dream is your capital for investment, and that is non-negotiable.
